Division — Water, hull and brightwork
Marine
Gelcoat restoration, oxidation correction and protective coatings for vessels.
Overview
Sun, salt and water take their toll fast on a hull. Altus Finishes restores gelcoat and painted topsides that have gone dull, chalky or stained, then protects the result so it survives a season on the water. Work covers topsides, brightwork and above-waterline surfaces — not antifouling or underwater hull work — and runs dockside, on the hard, or at your yard.
Services
What Marine covers
Scopes are built per project. These are the categories of work the studio is set up to perform.
Gelcoat restoration
Multi-stage compounding and polishing that removes oxidation and water spotting and brings back depth and gloss.
Oxidation correction
Recovery of heavily chalked hull and superstructure surfaces to an even, reflective finish.
Painted topside polishing
Careful machine refinement of Awlgrip-style and other painted finishes, without over-thinning the coating.
Marine ceramic & protective coatings
Coating systems for topsides, hardware and glass that slow oxidation and make wash-downs faster between trips.
Metal & brightwork polishing
Stainless, aluminium and chrome hardware polished and protected against salt air.
Non-skid, teak & interior surfaces
Non-skid decks, exterior teak and interior surfaces cleaned and conditioned as part of a full appearance package.
